TxDOT Works To Reduce Auto Accidents on Hwy 71

It is well known that one of the most dangerous stretches of roads in the Austin area is Highway 71 in Bee Cave, west of Austin.  TxDot has already taken road graders to the road to increase friction.  Yesterday, they lowered the speed limit from 60 to 55 miles per hour, and they soon hope to add barriers to prevent head-on collisions.  To learn more, you can watch the KXAN story on TxDOT's plans.
