New Regulations Aimed at Reducing Party Barge and Boating Accidents

When thinking of spending the weekend out on the lake with friends and family, one can conjure up images of fun and frivolity. But behind all that fun lies real risk of personal injuries.  In Austin alone, in the last few years, we have had one party barge sink and at least two other people were killed in party barge incidents.  The legislature finally stepped in last session and passed new regulations that go into effect in time for summer.  Those regulations were outlined in a news story this week by Fox 7 Austin.  If any of you have any interest in hosting or attending a party barge party, I suggest you click on the link.
